Our Work in Action
From leadership training to ICT education, human rights advocacy to poverty reduction, our programs are designed to make a lasting difference. We empower leaders, support communities, and create opportunities for young people to thrive in a globalized world.
Leadership Media Engagements
In recognition of the pivotal role of leadership in shaping societies, Leadership Watch developed a dedicated television program that serves as a platform for evaluating the quality of leadership within Nigeria and Africa. This 30-minute program provides the public with an opportunity to assess leaders critically, celebrate those who are exemplary, and inspire citizens to embrace values such as integrity, accountability, and mutual respect. The program is grounded in the conviction, articulated by John Maxwell, that “everything rises and falls on leadership.”
Strategic Leadership Training and Development
Our annual Leadership Training and Development Program runs for twelve months and is specifically designed to equip young people with practical leadership skills. Delivered through seminars, workshops, symposia, and collaborations with like-minded organizations, the program nurtures emerging leaders by sharpening their decision-making abilities, exposing them to contemporary challenges, and preparing them to engage constructively in governance, business, and community life.
Human Rights Advocacy
The Human Rights Advocacy program provides a platform for addressing the abuse of fundamental human rights in clear and practical terms. By offering legal assistance to victims of abuse, LW ensures that citizens are protected against violations whether carried out by individuals, groups, or even state actors. This program speaks boldly against injustice and creates an environment where people can live and move freely without fear of harassment or intimidation.
Student Exchange Programme (SEP)
The Student Exchange Programme is designed to expose Nigeria’s future leaders to international best practices in leadership and governance. By creating opportunities for young people to live, study, and interact in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and across Europe, the program broadens their worldview and prepares them for leadership in a globalized society. It also offers a platform for Nigerian youths to showcase the nation’s cultural heritage to international communities, thereby strengthening cross-cultural understanding and positioning them at par with their contemporaries worldwide.
Trade and Investment Promotions (TIP)
The Trade and Investment Promotion initiative seeks to foster business cooperation and attract foreign direct investment (FDI) into Nigeria. It provides forums for business leaders and entrepreneurs from across the globe to engage with government representatives, explore opportunities, and discuss investment prospects in various sectors of the Nigerian economy. By facilitating dialogue and ensuring investor confidence, TIP plays a vital role in advancing economic growth and creating employment opportunities.
Emerging Leaders Network (EL-NET) and Academy
Leadership Watch strongly believes that the future of Nigeria and Africa rests on the shoulders of the next generation of leaders. The Emerging Leaders Network (EL-NET) and the Emerging Leaders Academy were established to nurture this generation by creating avenues for mentorship, capacity building, and role modeling. Through these platforms, young leaders are groomed to adopt leadership styles that are inclusive, responsive, and focused on building sustainable societies.
Community Service and Poverty Eradication (COSEPE)
Through COSEPE, Leadership Watch partners with government agencies, corporate organizations, donors, and advocacy groups to implement community service schemes targeted at alleviating poverty. The program also encourages the involvement of celebrities and public figures in community projects, thereby fostering greater synergy between the government, advocacy groups, and grassroots communities. COSEPE is aligned with global development goals and is particularly focused on improving the living conditions of the rural poor.
ICT Development and Education (IDE)
Recognizing that ICT is central to modern life, LW established the ICT Development and Education program to provide young people—especially secondary and university students—with the digital skills required to thrive in today’s world. The program offers training that enhances employability, fosters innovation, and opens opportunities for entrepreneurship. By equipping young people with ICT skills, IDE empowers them to leverage technology for wealth creation, productivity, and social advancement.
Entrepreneurship and Skills Development (E-SkiD) Program
The E-SkiD Program is an entrepreneurial empowerment initiative aimed at making young Nigerians self-sufficient through the acquisition of modern business and vocational skills. The program covers a wide range of sectors, with special emphasis on agriculture as a driver of food security and economic growth. By bringing experts to train and mentor young entrepreneurs, E-SkiD not only promotes enterprise development but also strengthens consumer rights and education. Notably, Leadership Watch has been a key player in representing consumer interests in the telecoms sector through its active participation in the Telecom Consumer Parliament, Consumer Outreach Programs, and the annual Telecom Consumer Experience Assessment Survey conducted on behalf of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
