Leadership Watch (LW) is a Non-Governmental Organization with Special Consultative Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Since 1999, we have been working to advance good governance, democracy, human rights, ICT education, and sustainable development across Nigeria and Africa.

A year-long training program for young people, featuring seminars, symposia, and workshops that build leadership capacity and prepare participants for impactful roles.

Human Rights Advocacy

Provides legal assistance and advocacy for victims of human rights violations, ensuring citizens can live without fear of harassment or oppression.

Our Global Commitments

Leadership Watch plays an active role on the global stage through its engagements with the United Nations and other international institutions. We are guided by the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, which commit us to the following:

Human Rights

Supporting and respecting internationally recognized human rights, while ensuring that neither individuals nor institutions are complicit in abuses.

Environment

Advocating for a precautionary approach to environmental challenges, encouraging environmental responsibility, and promoting the diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Labour

Promoting the freedom of association, the right to collective bargaining, the elimination of forced and child labour, and the eradication of discrimination in employment.

Anti-Corruption

Taking a firm stand against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
